About IMMFI

The Inocencio Magtoto Memorial Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock, nonprofit institution responding to childhood disability concerns in the province of Pampanga. It was established on November 16, 1991, by the family of the late Inocencio Magtoto in order to carry out his dream of equal rights and opportunities in life especially for the poor, deprived, and the underprivileged. It was duly registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission in December of the same year and was recognized as a donee institution by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. In 1997 it was licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

At present, IMMFI is accredited by local government units as a developmental nongovernment organization responding to disability concerns. The institution is a founding member of local and regional NGO networks, is a partner/member of national networks of civil societies, and is accredited as a partner to various government agencies.

MISSION

IMMFI’s mission is to break barriers and build hope for persons with disabilities and their families by:

Addressing causal factors of impairments and disabilities

Promoting early detection and intervention of disabilities

Mainstreaming persons with disabilities in Philippine society

Advocating for and defending the rights of persons with disabilities

VISION

IMMFI envisions a just and humane society where enabled persons with disabilities enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

GOALS

IMMFI aims to:

1. Help improve the quality of life of children with disabilities through better access to basic rehabilitation services.

2. Form and strengthen community support organizations for persons with disabilities

3. Advocate positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities

4. Forge linkages with various agencies and organizations for resource mobilization, delivery of services and advocacy of disability issues

5. Serve as a resource center on children, health and disability concerns.
